I am really amazed at the kind of things i'm asked to do; i can never really tell what sort of instructions/requests/orders i'll get each day. this time, a call came in and my help is needed to go carry some bottles of wine. huh? well.. the wine doesnt to me, of course. it belongs to my brigadier general. but as part of normal protocol, all gifts received must go through an evaluation process to determine how much its worth. gifts worth below a certain amount ($50 i think) can be kept, but those worth more than that have to be paid for if he wants to keep it. its all to ensure that nobody gets tempted by expensive bribes. and by the way, the wine was declared "cheap wine". usually carrying these sort of things is the PA's job. but this time, the general had so many gifts he couldnt handle it himself. the many bottles of wine certainly didnt help, thus extra manpower was called in. but any reason to step out of the office is fine by me.

Everybody gets a lot of stress and pressure from their superiors to get things done. if you are somewhere along the chain of command, you can always pass down the work and vent your frustration and show your impatience at those lower down. so when it reaches my level, what do i do? as nsfs, we are at the bottom. as mere little mortals, there is no one else to pass it on to and no one is obliged to help after taking one look at your rank. in short, i am just very sick and tired of constantly being nagged at and scolded and blamed for things beyond my control. it is totally unfair to be ticked off about certain things when we are obviously less experienced as compared to the regulars. i'm not even nineteen years old. i shouldnt have to take some of the thrash that i'm getting.
