Some brilliant person has decided that i'll be swapping my pink ic for a green one on the 19th of march instead of april. only a few days of freedom left. oh well.

i just realised i make at least one person angry each time i go to work. haha.. its not always my fault though. why are some guests so grumpy. that is so totally the wrong frame of mind if you are heading to sentosa. just relax and be patient. if it is a weekend or a public holiday then of course it will be crowded. big crowds mean long queues. why cant they understand that. they dont really have to be so rude. there is a system of doing things and i'm just doing my job of keeping that system going. and as for people who dont understand a word of english, that really is unacceptable. i mean english is the international language. i can only speak in english and chinese, unless you consider sign language a language. so its not my fault if i cant help you. and people who try all sorts of means to get in for free. they should jump off the second floor of vivo city and swim there. to my knowledge, there is no admission fee for swimming to sentosa. and people who take their own sweet time to board the train. and then stare in surprise when the doors slam shut in their face. the best part is when they start complaining about the waiting time. if the driver has to keep waiting for slow people, no wonder then he's late. duh.

Really, the number of weird and inconsiderate people i see each day is just amazing. some of them just make me laugh. others make me bang my head against the wall. apart from these people, working at Sentosa EXpress has been great. nice colleagues and memorable expreriences. shock and awe at the chinese new year crowds; dont they have to go visiting? the pushing and confusion during that weekend. talking in a group and then splitting up the moment an ic or a supervisor comes. hearing all sorts of rubbish on the walkie (image 4 standby). i think wearing the walkie with the ear piece makes me look important. but i'd rather not have it at all; i'll just go deaf. some people take brochures at a faster rate than drinking water; they just cant share among the group. waving to the monorail drivers. teaching people how to use the contactless tap cards (just tap and push the bar). silently laughing at people who get walk straight into the turnstile because they didnt tap properly.

Bittersweet.
