spent the last few days meeting up with people i havent seen for some time. first was class chalet at pasir ris. random note: typing with handphone dictionary produces paris sir, so lesson is to always check before sending. anyway, getting all the way there was an amazing race of its own. stood all the way to tanah merah. logic says my legs should be jelly by then but i was observing the scenery outside. you see, i hardly travel to the east. so everything there looks totally unfamiliar. even malaysia is geographically nearer. once at pasir ris, there is the little problem of trying to find the shuttle bus which drops me off at the front reception. our class unit was the furthest inside, about a ten minute walk away. then afterwards there was the simple task of finding my way home from the ulu of the uluest places. time taken to get home: 1 hour 43 mins. choa chu kang to pasir ris. a whole new meaning to the word "cross-country". i should have asked santa for a helicopter.

so the usual things at a chalet. play cards, games, watch movie, bbq, etc.. on the long ride back home was i thinking about when i'll see some of them again. wonder what some of them will be doing this time next year or five years from now. i was also thinking about mr and mrs smith. both are assasins by day and a loving couple by night. wonder how she kept her whole range of knives in the oven for six years.

met up with some primary and secondary school friends on wednesday for dinner. the inevitible army has finally arrived. only God and the commandant of BMTC knows when we'll be able to meet again. some guys going in this week or next. wish them all the best.
