In my opinion, the worst thing you can do to yourself as a christian is indulge in the act of self-condemnation. the feeling that you're not good enough. that you've missed the mark. thus it is interesting to see that many people, in their blogs at least, frequently go down on one of those guilt trips. familiar phrases like "i was so busy, i didnt do QT" or "i think i lack faith" or very bluntly "i'm not good enough", are all examples that are quite unnecessary. this is a job done best by the evil one. he is after all, the master accuser. by accusing ourselves, we are just adding more misery to our lives. instead, we should stop moaning about the pathetic state of our lives. He knew that we had all fallen short, so why do we act as if He gets upset at us for failing. instead, we should remember that by defeating the Accuser at the cross, He took away once and for all, the lies that wear us down. what we lack, he has more than made up for it. people used to have to sacrifice animals because they were not good enough to talk to Him directly. thanks to the cross, we can rejoice because as He is perfect, so are we in this world. God isnt going to fall off His throne in shock each time we screw up. by condemning ourselves of not being perfect enough, not only are we putting barriers between ourselves and the Perfect One, it also diminishes the work at Calvary, that it was not enough to set us free once and for all. hence we should stop worrying about how we measure up. that is for God and satan to look at and we already know who has won. instead, we should focus on His glory, His power and His majesty.

But the voice of truth tells me a different story
The voice of truth says, "Do not be afraid!"
The voice of truth says, "This is for My glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth
