My blog got abandoned for the whole of november. and when i return, someone/something/some grinch who stole christmas also decides to take away my tagboard. guess i gotta ask santa for a new one this christmas.

Sgbandfusion has some very nice things to say about our concert. like "the trumpets were fantastic" and "sounded almost like the original soundtrack". he also has some other interesting things to say, like "i did not really pay much attention". huh?! what sort of review is that. its like saying sorry folks but i kinda nearly fell asleep so all i can say about that piece is two lines. it is of course, understandable if his attention was on something else, like the guest of honour perhaps, who happened to be an ex band member who had the power to make alphabets magically appear on wheel of fortune.

anyway the concert was great. the j1 trumpet happy three friends have improved a lot. felt a bit bad when people were congratulating me on the how great the section sounded. one should always strive to be modest, but i think i deserve the award for best faker of the night. to top it off, lots of people were quite intrigued by the flugelhorn which i now have a "love-hate relationship" with. haha.. nicely said my friend. having to play flugelhorn dashed all hopes i had for a slack night. i think all brass players should sign up for pimple cream sponsorship. playing with three stupid pimples below your lip is no joke. and the logistics was quite crap. one stand for five people, two people having to share a chair and even a whole row missing. but then i think it'll be one of those things that you go through and have a good laugh when you look back. also i wish people would appreciate soundtracks a bit more. movie music is nice, especially those with grand themes. hair raising stuff.

the colour of the ties by the way, were coincidental and not planned before hand.
