I think its quite amusing to realise that the whole topic of trigo - proving, general solutions, double/triple angle formulaes, sin/cos rules, graph sketching, special angles, basic angles and everything else - all started from one tiny right-angle triangle.
Somebody should have shot, hung and beheaded Pythagoras a long time ago.
