I shall defer from popular opinion and say that today's sermon wasnt that great. for one thing, i believe sermons should not be scolding sessions. i think it is very sad that the body of christ in general has relegated the holy spirit to the role of a morality alarm. i have no fear of giving an account of my life one day because my sins and lawless deeds He shall remember no more. i dont know why people still choose to remember what God has decided to remove forever. it upsets me to hear that people tremble and fear before the Lord. whatever happened to "redeemer", "comforter" and "friend"? i wouldnt want to spend an eternal life trembling! its no wonder people wonder why the number of empty seats are increasing. who wants give up a sunday morning hearing doom and gloom? we all want to hear good things about a good God who provides all good things.
