the esplanade is a beautiful place.. its quiet and peaceful.. i dont like orchard.. orchard is noisy and crowded.. city link has less people.. i'd rather walk along city link that walk along orchard.. and of course at the end of city link is the esplanade.. as you ride up the escalator you smell the familiar smell.. you can take your time walking along the brown marble floors in the cool air conditioned comfort.. there's hardly anybody at the library upstairs and even less people on the rooftop.. esplanade has a sense of culturedness (is there such a word?).. everyone looks dignified and the place clean and in tip-top condition.. cant really say that about orchard.. with people squatting at the side making noise for money and empty mcdonalds cups lying around.. btw i'm not commissioned by them say this ok.. this is my personal opinion having been to the esplanade like countless times..
