I love the airport. it is the closest i can get to travelling without actually leaving the country. but yesterday's trip was quite nostalgic. went to see the current batch off to switzerland and austria.. really brought back memories of our own trip to sydney. the eager anticipation and mad chaos while checking in. i think only people who have gone on such trips can tell you how that feeling is. its just undescribable and i shall not even try. i think the alumni who went all had this nostalgic feeling as well. its not so much wishing we could have gone to europe instead of australia, but memories of two years ago. sigh.. haha.. oh well, to cheer myself up, i shall cling on to my dream of backpacking europe that someday it will be a reality. fortunately, there are like minded people like me. its just that i need to wait for my two years to finish. speaking of which, i cant wait for them to come back, because the day they land marks 8 more months to freedom! haha.. on a happier note, i was pleasantly surprised that the band lao shi remembered my name! i usually forget my teachers pretty fast so i dont quite expect them to remember me. but she was the one who took attendance each practice, and the one who first heard about my disastrous fever while in sydney, so it makes sense that she still remembers me. she should have been my chinese teacher, i think i might have put in a bit more effort haha... anyways, this is a picture of Interlaken, the place where they are going, taken from wikipedia. really, that photo alone tempts me to just drop everything and migrate there! haha..
